On our "staycation" we also enjoyed lunch with Ben's mission friend and his wife from Odgen, went to a soccer game, played fun board games with my cousin Jaree and hubby Brenton, and we helped Amy and Darren put together their new kids playhouse. (which is also about the size of our home!) Man it is so fun when Ben isn't in school! I can't wait for 6 more weeks when he will be done with his bachelors! WAHOOOO!

a little behind on posts!
This is from a couple weeks ago when Ben was in between semesters and we wanted to go somewhere but we only had a day or two to do it... so we went to Kennecott Copper mine- very cool! The biggest mine ever- you can see this hole from space they say! It had been a long long time since either of us had gone so that was fun! The trucks they use to move the dirt they dig are twice as big as our house! WoW! you can see one is the pictures below next to a semi that had just pulled up and the semi looks tiny! We got totally lost on our way so the last picture is of us at "Kennecott copper mine" except like 20 mins away from the visitors center where we were supposed to be! Our GPS took us to the electrical plant! silly modern technology- you aren't supposed to make mistakes!

I believe that "stay-cations" are a great idea. We did that for years and years when our children were young and at home. We went on all kinds of local day trips and really had a great time. looks like you had fun. that mine is amazing!
